Muay Thai / Kickboxing

Muay Thai / Kickboxing is the extremely popular and prestigious national sport of Thailand. Incorporating punches, kicks, elbows, and knees, Muay Thai / Kickboxing is an excellent method of self defense and an even better way to stay in shape. Each class includes a full-body workout comprised of:

Mixed Martial Arts

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is also known as 'No Holds Barred' fighting, and has been made popular by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Pride Fight Championship. There are very few rules in MMA, and submission holds are permitted. Integrating elements from Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, and Brazilian Jui Jitsu, our Mixed Martial Arts class provides training for those interested in competition or for those who just want a more intense training experience.

Brazilian JiuJitsu

Through years of training and experience, the Brazilians have developed a simple yet evolved approach to self defense, sport grappling, and martial arts. The techniques taught in this class include takedowns, throws, holds, chokes, and locks. Training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu provides an excellent cardiovascular workout, as well honing your skills in both defensive and offensive combat.

Sports Conditioning

PFA is well-known for its superb Sports Conditioning program, having trained both amateur and professional athletes. Some of our athletes have included members of Canada's Junior and National Hockey and Kickboxing teams, as well as the National Hockey League and Western Hockey League. Our instructors have trained all over the world with top sports science specialists and are trained to help make YOU a better athlete.

Kicks 4 Kids

Our Kicks 4 Kids program is an exciting, comprehensive program geared towards children aged 7 to 13. It's a great way for your child to improve their level of fitness, build self-esteem and confidence, and most importantly, have FUN. Your child will learn the basics of Muay Thai / Kickboxing in a supervised, safe environment under the careful instruction of a certified trainer. This program is 4 months long, beginning in September and January.
