Fight Club- Saskatoon, Sask. 2 rounds x 5min Mixed Martial Arts-
Welter Weight- Andrew dominated this fight. Mah turned on his

grabbed his back, like he had been hit in the spine. The ref
stopped the fight giving it to Mah by disqualification. After
showing the replay the crowd went nuts as many felt the strikes
landed to the shoulder blades and not the spine as originally
thought. Either way this will make for a great rematch.

Champion Fight Club- Saskatoon, Sask. 2 rounds x 5min Mixed
Martial Arts- Middle Weight
The mixed fight of the year was the thought by most fans in
Lethbridge. Tarry and Elmer went to war for nearly two rounds
punishing each other with punches. Tarry dominated the first
round hurting Elmer but couldn't capitalize on it. Elmer
weathered the storm and came back in the second round. Tarry's
corner felt that there was enough bloodshed and threw in the
towel. Tarry will be back and wants a rematch. Elmer went on to
win the fighter of the night. Amazing fight, can't wait to see a
rematch.
Main Event Bout 12 Brad "the Brick" Wall PFA- Lethbridge vs.
Machihito Abe Miyamoto Gym- Tokyo, Japan 5 rounds x 2min. Full

Abe lived up to his nickname "Quick kick". He had fast and hard
kicks so Wall knew he had to get in close. Once in the clinch it
seemed like Wall was wearing him down. Suddenly he stepped back
with his right hand down and Wall knew it was the opportunity he
was looking for and threw a left elbow that caught Abe. Abe went
down like a sack of hammers, he has asked Wall for a rematch.

Chase "Crash" Degehardt.....
fought Chuck "White Chocolate" Pelc in
Edmonton on Saturday, May 30. It was a place Chase always wanted
to fight in as Edmonton was were he was born and raised. "I know
Chase was very excited about this" said trainer Brad Wall.
Chase came out looking to work my jab and feel Pelc out for the
first minute. Early on, he ws able to connect with a stiff jab
that seemed to panic Pelc. Pelc began going for takedowns with
desperation, but he wasn't setting them up. It became clear that
Chase would dominate the stand up as he continued to land punches
and knees.
Chase got him in the clinch and landed a knee to Chuck's head. He
immediately shot in again, and after Chase defendedit once again. Degenhardt
soon after flopped Pelc on his back and Pelc pulled Chase into
half guard. The next thirty seconds there were times Degenhardt
tried unsuccessfully to ground and pound Pelc, while Pelc tried to
pull Degenhardt into full guard.
They stood up again, and Degehardt landed a few more hard punching
and kicking combinations before getting him in the clinch again
and landing two hard knees to the head. Chuck dropped, and Chase
was able to land a few more punches on the ground until the ref
was forced to stop it.
It was a good performance and a definite confidence booster for
Degenhardt who is 2w,0l in 2009 as a professional. Not sure what
is next for Chase, he is tenatively scheduled to fight this summer
in Montana, September back in Edmonton on The Fight Club and then
again in October in Lethbridge.
June 12th in Calgary, Alberta. PFA's very won Sean "The Aggressor"
Batty is back in action facing Ari Markle of Mike Miles Muay Thai
gym in Calgary on the "Unbreakable" Muay Thai event.
Sean has been training hard and hoping to continue his victoriuos
ways. This will be Sean's second fight in 2009 and he's planning
at nothing less then a victory.
"Super Fight" in Red Deer on June 20th will feature PFA rising
star Danny "La Rocca" Rodriquez. Danny will be facing the tough
and talented Sean Enright of Arashi-do, Red Deer. Danny has been
back training very hard. He has hit a few road blocks early on
this year suffering his first defeat in February and then once
again falling short of a decision in March.
Danny is a very powerful and talented athlete,he hopes that some
adjustments to his training will make for a huge victory in this
bout.
Rage in the Ring 2 "Back with a Vengance"
Feb. 19th, 2005-Lethbridge, Alberta
Trevor "TNT" Smandych (National/ Calgary) vs. Melvin "the Warrior"
Murray (World Kickboxing/ Vancouver) 5 rounds x 3min. Professional
Superwelter Weight Modified Muay Thai Rules Bout.
Good fight. Melvin had broken timing that served to throw Trevor's
timing and range off for a little bit. Nice job by Melvin. In the
third round while Melvin threw a kick, Trevor low kicked and
dropped Melvin to the canvas. This injured Melvin's leg. The fight
continued and during a fast exchange, Trevor landed abody hook
which dropped Melvin for the count. trevor won by third round TKO.
Nice to see Melvin again and his coach Vince. Class acts.
Trevor Hardy (PFA/ Lethbridge) vs. Gareth Mills (Walker Camp/
Chelton England ) 5 rounds x 2min. Super Cruiser Weight Modified
Muay Thai Rules Bout
Exciting fight. In the first few rounds Trevor did a good job of
kicking while Gareth delivered some nice punches. The clinches
looked to favor Trevor for the first few rounds. As the fight
progressed Gareth was making Trevor retreat with good strong
punches. I felt at the end of the fourth round it was pretty even.
In the fifth Gareth came out and delivered some good combinations
and outworked Trevor in the clinch. Gareth won the nod and the
decision. Congrats Gareth and nice to talk to you Winston.
Super Fights:
Phil "No Fear" Leier (National/ Calgary) vs. Levi Kump (Frank
Lee's/ Edmonton) 5 rounds x 2 min. Superwelter Weight Full Muay
Thai Rules Bout
Good fight. Nice exchanges of punches and kicks with clean
clinching. Nothing ugly about this fight it was neck and neck
for all five rounds. In the fifth Levi pressed the attack more.
Levi won the decision by split. Congrats Levi. By the way, Levi is
what true Martial Artist is. You are a credit to your teacher Mr.
Frank Lee.
Adam "the Avenger" Bambrick (PFA/ Lethbridge) vs. Jamie Jahnke (Muringsung/
Regina) 3 rounds x 2 min. Superwelter Weight Modified Muay Thai
Rules Bout.
Adam had a great fight and Jamie has improved a great deal the
past year. Adam seemed a little too lad back at times but towards
the third his experience and conditioning seem to take over as he
dropped Jamie with some beautiful knees. Jamie is a warrior he got
back up and fought his heart out. In the end Adam was awarded the
unanimous decision.
Under Card:
Seven Quesnelle (PFA/ Lethbridge) vs. Rick La Monteange (SMO/
Steinbach) 2 rounds x 5 min. Mixed Martial Arts Rules Bout
Seven and Rick opened up with Rick throwing some hard shots that
seemed to hurt Seven. For a while it seemed like Seven was going
to get stopped and then he snapped and dominted the fight.
Eventually Seven won the fight by ref stoppage.
Jay Percival (Windwarrior's/ Edomonton) vs Jordan Lannon (Frank
Lee's/ Edmonton) 5 rounds x 2 min. Superwelter Weight Full Muay
Thai Rules BoutMuay Thai Rules Bout
Good fight. Jordan delievered some nice elbows, one which cut
Jay. A majority of the fight took place in the clinch, which was
to Percival's benefit. Percival has spent plenty of time in
Thailand clinching with many veteran thai athlete's. Jay won this
bout by unanimous dec. and was awarded the fighter of the night.

Exciting fight. Peter won the decision but it was a good contest.
Cathy Kloppenburg (PFA/ Lethbridge) vs. Kelly Lawerence (Avatar/
Kelowna) 3 rounds x 2 min. Superwelter Weight Modified Muay Thai
Rules Bout
Cathy trained very hard for her first fight and was very
conditioned. Unfortunately Kelly had an injury which needed
surgery and was unable to compete. I wish her a quick recovery.
Cathy ended up putting on a great exhibtion match with Amanda
Hejemlund. Both of the looked very technical for novice fighters.
Can't wait to see them compete again soon.
Sylvie Charbonneau (National/ Calgary) vs. Jessica Paladin

Thai Rules Bout
Good fight. The fight was 90% in the clinch. Sylvie kneed and

laned a devasting hook which sent Bambrick to the canvas. It
looked as if Adam was on queer street as he struggled to get up

2 years. Krystoff on the other hand has had devasting ko's wins
over such competitors as Lee Mein in the past two months.
Leading up to the fight Sozinsky weigh in at 229lbs Lewis
weighed in at the agreed 205lbs. Lewis didn't question
Sozinsky's weight he took the fight, but it was an obvious size
difference from the bell. Wyatt tried to tie Krystoff up, hoping
that Sozinsky would gas out. Krystoff looked more then prepared.
Mid way through the fight Krystoff mounted Wyatt beating Lewis
into unconciousness. The ref never seemed to stop the fight as
it looked as Krystoff finally decided to get off Lewis.
SEMI-MAIN EVENT FULL MUAY THAI RULES: 5 x 2MIN ROUNDS
14.Terrance Connor, Acosta New York vs. Scott Clark, Calgary,
National
MAIN EVENT- KICKBOXING RULES 5 x 2 MIN ROUNDS
15. Jason St. Louis, Red Deer vs. Junior Olsen, PFA - Lethbridge
Finally after a long night the highly anticipated return of
Junior Olsen. Junior has battled just 2 fights in the last
decade while St. Louis is a well rounded fighter competing in
boxing and mixed martial arts as well as kickboxing. This fight
pitted local Lethbridge and ex- two time North American champion
against on of Canada's top mixed martial artist's.
The fight went back and forth for the first two round when it
looked as if St. Louis was able to step it up connecting with
some heavy punches. Junior seemed to have trouble finding his
mark. It was during an exchange that Junior took what looked to
be a thumb in the eye and it was all St. Louis from this point
on. St. Louis dropped Junior two times with punches, but Junior
kept getting up, something that would have stopped most fighters
from continuing. St. Louis looked more then confident in his
ability and very relaxed, Junior seemd to be frustrated with his
range having trouble exchanging.
During the fight both fighters got the crowd into it as they
dodged spinning kicks and replied with quick counters. In
between the thrid and the fourth rond Junior knew that the only
way he could win the fight would be by knock out. He and his
corner elected not to continue risking further injury. It was a
great night St. Louis quickly got on the mic thanking both
Junior and the crowd showing great sportsmanship in his victory.
